Who are the Overwatch 2 characters?

The sequel to Blizzard’s hero-based FPS game features a mixture of returning characters and new faces. The current Overwatch 2 roster boasts 39 characters, with the most recent hero being Mauga.

Unlike the first FPS game where all heroes were available to all players, you now have to unlock future Overwatch 2 heroes from the game’s seasonal battle pass. The new characters are featured on the free track, but you need to reach rank 55 in the free PC game to unlock them. The next Overwatch 2 character is expected to launch every other season, starting from Season 2.
